How AI can improve your web page content

AI and web page content

# Query: Can AI compare my web page with the top ranked web page for the same keyword? Also, can AI suggest ways in which I can improve my web report so that my page gets ranked higher?

# Background: Everyone wants their web reports ranked high on Google’s Search Engine Results Page (SERP). A higher rank means improved visibility and greater traffic.

So far, the best way to improve your web page ranking was through On Page and Off Page SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). The more diligent ones would analyse the content on higher ranked pages and improve their own web offerings. However, both these routes are not easy. They require great effort.

The question is: Can AI do this work and make life easier for content creators?

# Experiment: I did a search for a keyword that I had used in one of my higher ranked articles. The keyword was print journalism vs web journalism, and my article was ranked second.

I next drew up a prompt asking Gemini AI to conduct the following two tasks:

  1. Compare the web content of the web page ranked above my web page and the page ranked immediately below my web page.
  2. Suggest ways to improve my web content so that my web page could rank higher.

The response of Gemini AI and my findings are given below.

# Prompt: Can you tell me the main difference between the content on this page (https://aaft.com/blog/mass-communication/print-journalism-vs-digital-journalism-which-is-better/)  and this page (https://thewordfactory.com/digital-vs-print-journalism/). And then after analysing both these pages, can you tell me how to make the content of my web page better. Here is the url of my web page (https://www.easymedia.in/top-12-differences-between-print-and-web-journalism/)

# Response of Gemini AI

# Summary of the first webpage:
  • This is an article about print journalism vs digital journalism.
  • It discusses what journalism is and the different ways news can be delivered.
  • Print journalism uses newspapers and magazines to deliver news. Digital journalism uses the internet.
  • Both forms of journalism have advantages and disadvantages.
  • Ultimately, the best type of journalism depends on the needs of the audience.

# Summary of the second webpage:

  • This is an article about the differences between print and digital journalism.
  • It discusses what digital journalists do that print journalists don’t.
  • Some important points are that digital journalists need to consider formatting, keywords, and related content.
  • They should also think about the length of their articles and how to atomize their content.

# Summary of your webpage third webpage:

  • This is an article about the differences between print and web journalism.
  • It discusses immediacy, frequency of updates, packaging, and device specificity.
  • Web journalism is instant and updates constantly. Print journalism has deadlines and publishes once a day.
  • Print journalism packages a story into one article, while web journalism can hyperlink to other articles.
  • Web journalism can be accessed on any device, while print journalism is a physical product.

#Comparison: Here’s how your webpage compares to the others:

  • All three webpages discuss the differences between print and digital journalism.
  • Your webpage focuses on specific aspects like immediacy, frequency of updates, packaging, and device specificity, while the first webpage gives a general overview and the second webpage focuses on the skills required for digital journalism.

# Suggestions on how to improve the content of your webpage:

  • You could consider adding a section that discusses the advantages and disadvantages of print and digital journalism, similar to the first webpage.
  • You could also discuss the skills required for digital journalism, similar to the second webpage.
  • You could add multimedia content such as images or videos to make your webpage more engaging.

# My Findings:

  1. AI can compare and summarise web pages using similar keywords and highlight differences.
  2. AI can match the differences with gaps in your web article and suggest ways to improve it.

# Bottomline: All journalists and content creators must use Gemini AI to learn what’s missing in their web page content. They should then plug these gaps and resubmit their web posts to Google for improved search engine rankings.
