Are you a health reporter? Have you written a report on tuberculosis in the last one year ? Was this report published in an Indian newspaper, magazine or online portal? Did it carry your byline?
If yes, then you can apply for the 2014 REACH Lilly MDR-TB Partnership Media Awards. In fact, you can submit two entries. Each will be evaluated separately.
So far, the REACH Lilly MDR-TB Partnership Media Awards were limited to English language journalists. This year the awards will also be given to journalists writing in Indian languages.
How to apply: The entries can be submitted as a PDF file or a jpg file. Journalists can also submit an online link or HTML page.
In the case of Indian languages, journalists should submit translations in English too. In either case, please make sure that your entry includes your name, contact details and information about your current employer
There are four awards; two of these –of Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 each — will be given to the top two entries in English; the other two awards – which too are of Rs 40,000 and Rs 30,000 — will be given to entries submitted in Indian languages.
The award winning entries will be published on the Speakup to Stop TB website.
