Applications invited for Asia Journalism Fellowship

Asia Media FellowshipAre you a mid-career Indian journalist who wants to take a short but productive break? If yes, then you should apply for the Asia Journalism Fellowship (AJF).

The AJF is inviting applications for its 2014 Fellowship programme, which will run from March 17 to June 6, 2014.

You will be based in NTU’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information in Singapore, and will be part of a 15-member group of  journalists from Asia.

You will be required to work on an independent project aimed to improve your professional skills and understanding of key trends shaping media and communications.

So far, 77 journalists from 15 different Asian nations have taken part in the Fellowship programme.

Fellowship details

Last date: October 25, 2013

Who should apply: You should have at least five years of professional journalism experience in newspapers, magazines, television, radio or the web; you may be a reporter or editor, practising journalism through words, photos or video. Freelance journalists too can apply. You should be proficient in English, and should have permission from your employers to be away for the full three months of the Fellowship.

Funding: Fellows are provided a stipend of S$1,500 per month for the duration of the three month programme. Travel to and from Singapore is also covered.

Accommodation: Free accommodation is provided in service apartments.
